Our History
2012
The Ruby Academy started in November 2012 in the founder Emma’s living room as the ‘She is Worth Far More Than Rubies’ event.
With faith-based ethos, it started with a group of 15-20 women coming together to be nourished spiritually, mentally and emotionally and there was a lot of delicious food to nourish us physically too! Each person came with something to represent the work of their hands so we could encourage and patronise each other’s work.
Other events followed and out of these events, many were encouraged in their callings; Businesses were started, books were written and published, education and training was furthered, training events were held in the areas of managing money, confidence and self-image, healthy diet, and more. So much was birthed out of this project.
2022
Ten years on, there was still the need for this nourishment and building up that we could impart to future generations, and so in April 2022 The Ruby Academy WhatsApp Group was created and it's Facebook presence revived. There is the constant need to keep feeding our spirits, minds, intellect and emotions.
The WhatsApp and Facebook Groups kept the inspiration going with daily inspirational messages, motivational teachings.
Live and virtual events took place either organised directly by us, by members or by external platforms of which all were encouraged to participate in.
The online groups have also been a platform to share projects, podcasts, publications, and businesses.

The Ruby Academy empowers women to achieve and exceed their full potential, and become whole, self-sustaining and independent individuals
